A new primary school, Canyon Creek Elementary, is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2005. A new high school is planned to be completed for the 2005-2006 school year

An elementary school site in the community has also been set aside. Construction and opening will be determined by the St. Vrain Valley District.

Shopping

Vista Ridge residents are only minutes away from supermarkets. There is a Safeway in Lafayette just west of our community, and a new King Soopers is nearing completion about two miles away, near the intersection of Baseline and Highway 287.

Shopping centers and restaurants are also nearby in Lafayette, Longmont and Broomfield. With the completion of the Northwest Parkway, Flatiron Crossing is just 15 minutes from the community.

A Vista Ridge supermarket and other retail stores are projected to be open in early 2006 in Phase I of the Vista Ridge Marketplace. Phase II, with more retail shops and restaurants is projected for late 2007.
